Its been 3 weeks since everything changed

Yeah, life is a bit crazy at our pad these days. Luckily I can take showers all by myself now.

We took our first family trip up to Lynden/Bellingham and got to hang out with Grandpa Rob.

He shared his french fries with me. I loved the tartar sauce.

Then we went over to Grandma Connie's house for a party. Here we are with my Thomas aunts and uncle.

Anna is getting bigger. She may want to consider being a ballerina when she grows up.

Or a Logger.

Here she is all dressed up with nowhere to go. Boring!

Actually, we went to uncle Ryan's wedding in Olympia on Saturday. I had a blast running around and being a part of the action. During the toasts I was front and center. One of my favorite quotes from the wedding was from a 4 year old sitting behind us in the ceremony; while the minister was talking the boy said: "what in the world is this guy talking about?" Priceless. I wish I had come up with that. Anyway, congrats to Ryan & Maureen! Great party!

Anna is 2 weeks old!

Can you believe Anna is already 2 weeks old?

Here are her stats:
Weight - 8 lbs 8 oz (yes, that's right she has gained a pound and a half since her 5 day check up - what a chunk!)
Length - 22 inches (already out of the newborn size footsies - she is long and lean)
Hair - light brown and lots more than I had or dad has
Eyes - still blue
Fav food - milk (duh)
Fav color - pink (double duh)
Fav activities - eating, pooping and sleeping (in that order)

A lot has happened in the last two weeks. I'll do my best to catch you up.
First, Grandma Connie came for two days. We played with Play-doh and read lots of stories from the library.

Then Auntie Elise came from California for a visit.

She brought Anna lots of clothes,

headbands,

and pink stuff. (Anna has been practicing her smiles)

This pic shows off Anna's head 'o hair (it's all relative people).

Auntie Elise also made lots of time to play with me outside and got me some cool new water toys for the whale pool.

What do you think of my new style? Jammies on top, big boy undies, and rain boots? I picked my outfit out all by myself.

On one of the really hot days we took Anna on her first trip to the pool. I had a super time playing with Curt & Alicia in the water! (thanks guys!!)

We also gave Anna her first bath. I got to help.

Other things Anna likes to do:
Sit in her bouncy chair (I had to show her how to use all the gizmos)

And read the paper with Dad.

Enough about Anna. Here is a funny shot of me picking out some food to eat all by myself (this is a new theme for me).

And finally, after Auntie Elise left, Grandma Connie came back. Today she and Daddy and I went to the zoo.

Tomorrow we head up to Bellingham/Lynden to introduce Anna to the rest of Daddy's family.

Goodbye Grandpa and Grandma Larson

Thanks for all of your help over the past month! Anna took a bit longer to come than you had anticipated, but you got to spend more time with me! Say Cheese!

Everything is going well after the first week. We're all getting used to each other and everyone is starting to sleep better at night. Hooray!

Meeting Anna

I was a bit shy and cautious at first.

Then I warmed right up. Peek-a-boo really breaks the ice in a new-sibling relationship.

Good night, sis.

And good night Mom. Love you.

New sis: Anna Elise Lawson

I am yet to meet her, but I have on good information that she was born at 2 AM on August 5, 2010, weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. and 21 inches long.

Upon first impression she is a much better eater than I was and, consequently, is less fussy. I'm off to meet her tonight! Look out, sis', here I come.
