Outside fun

Happy Birthday Grandpa Mark! Thanks for the fun day yesterday.

The rain finally let up today in Seattle, so I got to spend some quality time outside in my new backyard. Lots of rocks, so I am totally loving it.

I really love my dad.

Trying out a new feathered hair-do. Opinions??

A moment of zen.

Excavation is under way - my crew is very talented.

Groundbreaking

Today was the ceremonial groundbreaking of the '09 remodel. Check out the OSHA-approved Thomas the Train hardhat, er, bike helmet, er, trike helmet. Here's the first dig.

Then my crew showed up with the excavator. We agreed to wear orange today, for safety, of course. I moved rocks manually because I don't need machines to do heavy lifting.

A ramp up from the street to our yard.

Then we got goin' with ripping stuff up. I got to drive for a while.

And...pooped.

CA visit

I just got back from a quick trip to Cali for my Auntie Elise's bridal shower. Congrats Elise and Josh - I can't wait for the wedding! I had a rockin' time hanging out with the dudes during the actual shower (thanks for a good time Grandpa Larson and Great Uncle Ralph). I also made lots of new friends over the weekend, most notably the harmonica. More photos and videos to come soon!

Helping unpack

And loving full-length mirrors.

Moving is like running with bacon

Actually, I can't complete that metaphor, but I'll tell you what is like running with bacon: me running with bacon at James and Laurie's Redline Burger.

OK, right, moving. Gotta focus.
We got ready for our big move on Sunday and it started out like this.

I helped unpack bedding.

Doing my own stunts, as always.

The (de)construction has begun. See you in 4-6 months, house!

And, on an unrelated note, wearing Mom's shoes:

Smiles, photography, toothbrushes and animals

Somehow I know how to smile on command. Sort of. Maybe it's because I have had my picture taken once or twice, or maybe it's because I'm smart, but this is what turns up nowadays when a smile is requested.

Speaking of taking pictures, I got a hold of the camera today and these resulted. Actually, these were the best out of about 50.

Finally, now that I have some chompers for chompin' stuff, I need to get them clean occasionally. Today I got double-duty out of the toothbrush by giving my hair a quick brush, too.

And then there is this example of my block-building and animal-noise-making prowess. As you will soon see, however, once I get goin' on my elephant noise, it's hard for me to stop.

Time to pack

And that means lots and lots of boxes to build forts with. Awesome.

Demonstrating my destruction skills. Luckily the boxes are empty.

Stella the cat took a nap in my diaper bag. Cute.

Fridays with Mommy

I get to spend Mondays and Fridays with Mommy - just the two of us. We have so much fun. We go all over town, meet up with friends, exercise, read tons of books, dance to music together and try new foods.

I don't much care for fresh blueberries, but today I tried dried blueberries and after some initial skepticism, turns out I like them!

If you look closely you can see 4 of my teeth. I have a few more starting to poke through now too. Won't be long before I chow down on steak.

Blueberry drool.

Mom tried to get some work done in the kitchen this afternoon, but I kept running into trouble. The cat food was just too tempting...

Spreading the cat food all around so the cats can find it later. Like I told mom, I was just trying to help - honestly!

One of my most favorite things to do is go outside. I head straight for the dirt and rocks.

Running away from mom towards my favorite pile of rocks.

Having a grand time in the great out-of-doors.

Quick shout out to my buddy Carson - happy first birthday dude. Welcome to the club!

99 balloons

It was just a balloon kind of day here in Seattle.

I wore my awesome balloon sweater and went to get a new pair of shoes. The nice shoe lady gave me a balloon to match my sweater. Zzzzt!

I've been getting pretty good at chatting on-line. Yesterday I Skyped with Grandma and Grandpa Larson, and today I had a few iChats with Auntie Elise and Uncle Josh. I have a knack for finding the shortcut key for mute so mom and dad have to scramble to turn the mic back on.

Enjoying a dinner of refried beans and black olives. Yummy.

Discovering olives.

Also a bit messy - I just can't help running my dirty hands through my long blond tresses.

I used to be a one-mode operator when it came to playtime. I would destroy and move on. Now, I still destroy, but sometimes I restore, as well.
