Tonight I helped my friends James and Laurie open their burger joint Red Line Burger Co. - it was packed. Unfortunately my food worker card hasn't come in yet, so I wasn't much of a help behind the counter. And I couldn't eat anything either - maybe next time. I hear it was delicious.

I love Rock 'n Roll
Tonight I experienced my first rock concert. Mom and dad thoughtfully protected my delicate eardrums.
Playing with dad's bike helmet.
My friend Caoimhe and her dad Nathan were there too. Lily was there too, but not pictured.
Turns out I love to dance! Everyone around us cheered for me at the end of the song.
What comes after dancing? Napping of course.
And another perspective of the dancing...

On the swing
Today I went on a big kid swing for the first time. It was super fun.
And cousin Margie came to stay with us for a few days. She thought some of my words sounded like pterodactyl shrieks, and apparently she understood them so we got along great.
Gnawing on some cantaloupe. I only liked it when I could hold it myself.

Officially crawling
I've been "crawling" for a few weeks now, but never quite got up on all fours like I should. Today I broke the crawling barrier for real. I'm not sure why I wanted to crawl across the hard floor to talk with the base of my Jumparoo, but I did it.

Wedding Jack
A beautiful day for my friends Curt and Alicia's wedding at the Seattle Tennis Club. It's probably the nicest wedding I've ever been to.
A family portrait looking out over Lake Washington and with Dad's big head blocking Mt. Ranier.
My family and the newly bonded couple. Pictured in order of cuteness. I'll let you figure out which way it goes.
And then we hit the dance floor. It was a bit past my bedtime, but who can resist the Love Shack?
Do you like my sweater vest?

Welcome Caoimhe Pepper Phillips
Born July 1, 2008 to our great friends Nate and Carrie, CPP is now my newest friend. We even played footsie a bit.
What, you don't know anyone named Caoimhe? Well, it's pronounced KEE-va and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caoimhe.

Hair update
My first camping trip - Lake Wenatchee
We had a great first camping trip to the wilderness of the north Cascade Mountains. Truly roughing it, as can be expected. Naturally we had a new tent, the "Big Agnes", which lived up to its name. Supposedly the tent sleeps six, but we found out it sleeps one Jack in a pack-n-play, two adults on a queen-size air mattress, and has room left for a camping/nursing chair. Nice!
The hike from the car to our site was about 10 or 12 . . . feet.
Mom and I getting our camp on. Aloha, by the way.
I only had four layers of clothes and a beanie for sleeping.
Dad and I showing our matching fleece pants. I love coordination!
Basking in the morning warmth as the sun gently heats the tent. To 80 degrees (F) by 9 am.
Flying.
Oh, we didn't actually stay in the tent the whole time. There were lots of other parents and little people (infants, that is) on the trip.
We made some great camp food. My first brat'.
Playtime with the sweet ladies: Trudy and Amelia.
And the monkey chair was a hit with all of us. Thanks again Ole and Lena! It even has a place for my bottle.
Roughing it on the air mattress before bed. (This look brought to you by REI)
And there was a lake there, too.
